How do search engines find my website?
Give every page a clear Title and Description. Housing Market Cloud adds the sitemap and the other technical tags for you.
- Under Your websites, press Edit beside the website.
- Under Pages, choose a page and fill in its Title and Description. The Description is the short text a search engine can show under your page, so write one sentence about what is on it.
- Keep each Page address short and clear.
- Press Save, then Publish.
The rest is added for you when the website is published: a canonical link on every page, a sitemap at /sitemap.xml listing your pages, their translations and your published properties, the tags that shape how a page looks when it is shared, and a robots.txt that lets search engines in.
The Title of a page is also its name in your website menu.
