How does the Website Widget retargeting pixel work?
An optional pixel, off by default, on Pro and above. It builds an audience from visitors to your own website who agreed to advertising, so your Housing Market Ads campaigns can show them your listings.
The widget can double as the pixel for Housing Market Ads. It is optional and off by default. Turn it on in the widget’s Properties and ads tab. It needs the Pro plan or above and a Housing Market Ads account.
Consent comes first. Nothing that identifies a visitor is stored until they agree to advertising. The widget follows your website’s own cookie banner (Cookiebot, CookieYes, Complianz, OneTrust, Google Consent Mode or an IAB TCF banner). If your website has none, the widget shows a small Accept and Decline bar.
A visitor is recognised only on your own website, not across other websites. Visitors who agreed can then be shown your listings by your Housing Market Ads campaigns. Remember to mention the widget and the pixel in your own website’s privacy statement.
