What is a listing boost?

A one-off purchase that puts one of your published listings above the ordinary results in that portal's property search for seven days. It is the portal's own featured-property placement, bought from inside the CRM. It cannot be bought yet.

A boost puts one of your own listings above the ordinary results in the property search on the portal that listing is on, for seven days. It is the portal's existing featured-property placement, sold for the first time from inside the CRM instead of only from the portal.

What it is not

It is not Housing Market Ads. Ads is a separate product with campaigns, budgets and reporting, and it does not decide the order of a portal's property search at all — so a boost built as an Ads campaign would take your money and move nothing. A boost writes the portal's own featured placement and nothing else.

It is not the verified agent badge and it is not a featured agent. Those are about you; this is about one property.

How the placement works

Each portal keeps a small number of featured slots, and only three are open at a time for the kind of search a boost is placed in. If all three are taken when you buy, your boost joins the queue and the portal's own rotation brings it up — it does not push another agent's paid placement out, and a slot is never taken from somebody who already paid for it.

Only a listing that is already live on the portal can be boosted, so publish it first. A listing that is already featured, or already waiting for a slot, cannot be boosted until that has finished, and one listing carries one boost at a time.

A boost runs for seven days and comes down by itself. There is nothing to cancel: the placement ends on its own and the charge is never reversed part-way through.

What it costs

It is a fixed one-off charge for those seven days, never a commission, never a share of what the property sells for, and never a subscription. It is charged in USD, as everything in Housing Market Group is. No price is published here, because none has been set — see below.

A boost needs Pro. It is a paid extra on top of a paid plan: holding Pro does not include one, and buying one does not give you Pro.

It is not switched on yet

No boost can be bought today, on any account. The screen is there and it says so, naming no price because there is no price to name; nothing is charged and no listing is ever featured while that is true. Being unpriced means the feature is off rather than free — giving away the top of a portal's search above the agents who did pay would look exactly like the product working.
