What are seller leads, and what does one cost?

An introduction to a homeowner who ran a market estimate on a portal and asked to hear from agents in their area. It arrives without their contact details; unlocking it costs 10 USD, once, and the details are then revealed to you. It is not exclusive.

A seller lead is an introduction to somebody who wants to sell or let out their own home. They asked a Housing Market portal what it is worth, and at the end of that they asked to be put in front of the agents who work their area. Choose Seller leads in the menu to see the ones you have been sent.

What arrives, and what does not

You are shown the area, the property — type, bedrooms, bathrooms, floor area where the homeowner gave them — the market estimate they were shown, and whether they want to sell or to rent it out.

You are not shown who they are. The introduction arrives without the homeowner's name, email address or telephone number, and without the exact address: the area is enough to tell you whether this is your patch, and their details are not yours until you have paid for the introduction.

What it costs

Unlocking one introduction costs 10 USD, once. The contact details are then revealed to you and you can call.

It is a fixed fee for that one introduction. It is never a commission, never a share of what the property sells or lets for, and never anything that depends on how the conversation goes — nothing in Housing Market Group is priced on an outcome. It is not a subscription either: it is charged once, for that introduction, and no plan includes any allowance of them.

It is not refunded. What you bought is the homeowner's contact details and the chance to make the call, and you have both the moment the payment goes through — whatever the homeowner then says, and whether or not they answer at all. That is the same reasoning as the verified agent fee, which pays for the review and not for its outcome.

It is not exclusive

Every agent registered on that portal who works that city is sent the same introduction, and each of them pays separately if they want it. Several agents may unlock the same one. Unlocking it first reserves nothing and buys no head start, and no agent is given a city to themselves — so if you decide to pay for one, decide it on the property and not on a race.

We do not say how many agents were sent one, how many unlocked it, or how many of these arrive in a month. None of those is something we would be able to stand behind, and a figure a reader plans around is worse than no figure.

Who is sent one

Two things decide it, and nothing else: you are registered as an agent on the portal the property is on, and you work the city the property is in. An account with no working email address cannot be sent one at all, because the introduction arrives by email as well as in the CRM.

The verified agent badge is not part of it. It is a public trust mark that tells a buyer who you are, and it opens nothing here — an agent on the free plan without it is sent exactly what a verified agent on Business is sent. Nor does your plan: Seller leads is on every plan, free included, because what is charged for is the introduction and not the screen.

It is not switched on yet

No introduction is being sent today. The step where you pay for one and the details are revealed to you is still being built, and until it exists nothing is distributed — the portal says so rather than handing out an introduction there would be nothing to charge for. Seller leads is in the menu and the page will be empty; that is the feature waiting, not your account missing something.
