Should I use the Website Widget or the WordPress plugin?
Use the plugin if your website runs on WordPress and you want property pages that search engines can read. Use the widget for a quick listing panel on any website, including Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and Shopify.
- The WordPress plugin: for a WordPress website. It builds a page for each property on your own domain, built by your server and meant to be read by search engines, and it can import the listings your site already has.
- The Website Widget: for any website, WordPress included. You paste a snippet and a panel of listings, a search bar or an enquiry form appears. It draws its listings in the visitor’s browser, so it is not the way to win search traffic to individual properties.
Both are managed in Housing Market CRM. Your properties are the same list in My Properties, and enquiries from either arrive in the CRM as leads. On a WordPress website you can use both: the plugin for your property pages and the widget where you want a quick panel.
