Will the Website Widget help my website appear in search?
Not reliably. The widget draws its listings in the visitor’s browser, so search engines index them more slowly and less reliably than pages built on a server.
A widget is a quick way to show your listings on a website, but it is not a way to get found in search. It draws its listings in the visitor’s browser. Search engines can read pages like that, but they index them more slowly and less reliably than pages a server builds, and the property windows that open over your page are not separate pages.
If a property opens on the Housing Market portal instead, that property has an ordinary web page of its own, which you choose in the widget settings under Open property details.
If search traffic to individual properties matters most to you, use the Housing Market WordPress plugin, or Housing Market Cloud, which build a real page for each property. No widget or plugin can promise a place in search results.
