How do I send an email campaign to my contacts?

On Pro, choose Marketing: upload your mailing list with consent recorded, build a campaign around your listings, send yourself a test, then send it now or schedule it.

Email campaigns are part of Pro. Choose Marketing in the left menu; it has three tabs, Contacts, Campaigns and Suppressions. On Free the page explains the tool and offers Pro instead.

Your mailing list

The Contacts tab is your mailing list and shows who on it can be emailed. To add people, upload a contact list — a CSV, TSV or semicolon-separated file; save an Excel workbook as CSV first — and confirm which column is the email address, first name, last name and phone before anything is saved.

Tick These people agreed to hear from me and say where they agreed, such as a sign-up form or a viewing sheet. Only contacts with consent are ever emailed: without it they are saved but never sent a campaign, and you can record consent later.

Building a campaign

  • Open the Campaigns tab and choose New campaign.
  • Give it a name, which only you see, and a subject line, which is what the recipient sees in their inbox. Preview text and an opening message are optional.
  • Choose Add a listing to feature your properties. Each card is read from the portal rather than from a saved copy, so it shows the listing as it currently is.
  • Choose Save the campaign. Open it to see the preview, and choose Send myself a test to see it in your own inbox; a test is not counted in the results.

Sending it

Under Send this campaign, choose Send now, or set a time and choose Schedule it. Before you send, the screen shows how many people can be emailed and how many cannot, and why: no consent, unsubscribed, or suppressed. A scheduled campaign can be edited or cancelled until it starts sending; cancelling makes it a draft again.

Campaigns are sent from Housing Market Group's own verified address with your name on them, so there is no domain or DNS set-up on your side. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and Results shows how many were sent, opened, clicked, bounced, marked as spam, failed or suppressed.

Suppressions

Suppressions lists the addresses nobody may email: addresses that do not exist, that marked a campaign as spam, or that unsubscribed. The list is shared across the whole platform, because everyone sends from one verified address. You can add an address by hand for someone who asked not to be emailed, but that is permanent and applies to every agent, not only to you: nothing can be taken off the list from the CRM.
