How do lead forms for my website work?

A lead form is a contact form you place on your own website. Every enquiry arrives in your CRM as a lead, together with where it came from. Lead forms are part of the Pro plan.

Under Marketing, choose Lead forms. Give the form a name that only you see, for example Homepage or Newsletter, and choose whether it asks for a phone number (do not ask, ask but optional, or required) and for a message. A heading is optional: leave it empty and the form uses a heading in the visitor's own language.

A new form is Not open yet. Choose Open the form to let it take enquiries and Pause the form to stop it, and you can change either whenever you like. Each form has a link and an embed code to paste into your website. If you list the websites that may show the form, other websites cannot; leave the list empty and any website can. That is a rule the browser keeps, not a secret.

To see where a lead came from, add ?utm_source=newsletter, or any utm_ tag, to the end of the form's link. The embed code passes your page's campaign tags to the form by itself. Choose Where leads came from to see the source, medium, campaign and page of the leads of a recent period.

You can show an unticked box for receiving property emails from you. A visitor who does not tick it is not added to your marketing list. The notice on the form names you as the person responsible for what visitors send and says Housing Market Group provides the page. If you delete a form its link stops working for good, and the leads it made stay in your CRM.
