Which markets does Housing Market Insights cover?

Insights is live and you can use it in any market in its registry. Coverage is planned for all 34 markets; the depth of published evidence varies, and Thailand is furthest ahead today.

Housing Market Insights is live and running now. Its market registry spans the same 34 markets as the Housing Market Group portal network, and coverage is planned for all of them. What varies between markets today is the depth of the published evidence behind each one.

"Coverage" means three separate things

These arrive at different times, and treating them as one thing is how people end up expecting more from a market than it currently holds.

  • Registry records — the country, its regions or provinces, and its cities. These are in place for all 34 markets, so you can navigate to your city and open it today.
  • Property-search demand — what people are actually searching for in a market, collected from the Housing Market Ads Keyword Planner. Collection runs across the whole registry in rotating batches, so a market accumulates this over time rather than everything appearing at once.
  • Published market evidence — documents from named publishers, each one reviewed before it is shown. This is the deepest layer and the slowest to build, because every item has to be identified, read, dated and attributed.

Where the published evidence is today

Thailand is furthest ahead. It is where reviewed, source-cited market evidence is published today, across Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Koh Samui.

Other markets are being added one at a time. That pace is deliberate: each source has to be found, read and approved before anything from it is shown as fact, and the alternative — filling a market page with estimates — is the thing Insights is built not to do.

How to check your own market

  • Sign in to Insights and open Market research.
  • Choose your country, then your region or province, then your city.
  • Read the market page. Published evidence appears as cards naming the publisher, the source document and the date it was published.
  • Read the source list underneath. It shows which sources are available for that market and which are still pending.
  • If nothing has been published for the market yet, the page says so. It does not fill the gap with an estimate.

What you get in a market with no published evidence yet

You can still use the product, and this is the part worth knowing before you sign up rather than after.

  • The market is navigable down to city level, and you can save it to your watchlist.
  • Property-search demand for that market appears as soon as a collection for it has been validated, with the date it was collected.
  • You can build a guide for the market and save it to your account.
  • What you will not see is reviewed local evidence with a publisher name against it — because none has been published for that market yet, and Insights will not invent one.

This is about Insights only. Housing Market Group operates 34 portals, and how deep the research goes inside Insights does not change what the portals themselves cover.
