Why is there no figure for my country or metric?
Because no figure for it has passed every check yet. The most common reasons are that only one source publishes it or that the source’s terms do not allow it to be shown.
A figure is shown only when it has passed every check. It is not shown when:
- only one independent source publishes it, so it cannot be confirmed by a second one
- the sources disagree about it
- the source’s terms of use do not allow the figure to be reused with attribution
- the figure is far outside its own history and is being checked again
- no approved source covers that country and metric yet
New sources are looked for every night, so coverage grows over time. The page for each country shows only what has passed, rather than filling a gap with an estimate.
