How do I edit, pause, duplicate or delete a post, and how do queues work?

Under Posts, every post shows its state and buttons to schedule, edit, pause, resume, duplicate or delete it. The Queues tab holds the days and times an account posts at.

Open Posts. All posts lists every post with its state: Draft, Scheduled, Publishing, Published, Partly published, Failed, Paused or Cancelled. Use Show to see only one state. Choose Open to see each account the post goes to and how it is doing there.

  • Schedule: gives a draft a time, as in the composer. Scheduling needs an active subscription.
  • Edit: changes the text and the time of a draft, a scheduled post or a paused post. Pictures and videos cannot be changed there; duplicate the post or write a new one to use others. Take back to a draft makes a scheduled post a draft again, and nothing goes out until you schedule it again.
  • Pause and Resume: a paused post is held and does not go out until you resume it.
  • Duplicate: makes a copy that you can change and schedule.
  • Delete: posts waiting to go out are cancelled. What already went out stays on the networks.

If a post did not go out, Open shows the reason and, where it is safe, Try again. When Social cannot tell whether a post went out, it asks you to look on the network first, because trying again could post it twice.

Queues

A queue is a set of days and times for one account. Choose Queues, then New queue, choose the account, give the queue a name and a time zone, and add the times and the days of the week. When you schedule a post you can choose the next free time in the queue, and the post takes the next slot. You can change a queue or pause it, and a paused queue gives no new slots.
