How do cross-border referrals work?
Refer a client to an agent in another Housing Market country and keep track of the referral and the fee you agreed. No money moves through the CRM. It is part of the Pro plan.
Under Marketing, choose Cross-border referrals. To receive clients, join the referral network: choose the languages you can serve, add a line other agents read before they choose you, and switch on receiving referrals. Other agents then find you by name, company, market and language. Only agents in other markets who joined appear when you search.
To refer a client, choose an agent, give the client a short label, the client's name and email and what the client wants, and tick that the client agreed to be introduced. Do not put contact details in the description. The other agent sees the label and the description first. The client's name, email and phone reach her only if she accepts. If she declines, you withdraw or nobody answers in time, they are erased.
You can record a fee you agreed: none, a percentage of her commission or a flat amount. Housing Market only records it. You settle the fee between yourselves and mark it as paid, received or waived here. The agent who receives a referral may use the details only to contact the client about it, and may not add them to marketing lists or pass them on unless the client agrees separately.
Each referral shows its status: Waiting for an answer, Accepted, Declined, Withdrawn, Expired, Closed with a deal or Closed without a deal, and keeps a history. The record is kept for the number of months the screen states, so both agents can see the outcome, and after that the client's personal details are erased from it.
