What can I do on a lead's page?

Open a lead from the Tasks board to change its status and category, log comments and internal notes, call or message the contact, add follow-ups, record the lead source, and close it as won or lost.

Open Tasks and choose a lead on the board. Its page holds everything about that one enquiry.

Keeping it up to date

  • Status — New, Call Back, Message Back or Closed. Category — Buy, Rent or Sell.
  • Comments — a running log of what happened on the lead.
  • Internal note — type @ to mention a colleague. Each colleague you mention is notified; one who cannot open this lead is not, and the page tells you who.
  • Lead source — where the lead came from, such as a portal enquiry, a phone call, a walk-in or a referral. For a referral, add who referred them.
  • Files — documents kept with the lead.

Talking to the contact

Phone calls the contact's number from your device, and is greyed out when the contact has no number. Message opens your conversation with that person in the Inbox.

What comes next

Under Follow-ups, choose Add one to set a dated follow-up; how it notifies you is described in "Does the CRM include reminders?". Follow-ups sit above the timeline, which records what has already happened on the lead.

Closing it

Mark Complete moves the lead to Deal Closed, and Mark as Lost moves it to Lost Deal; both set its status to Closed. To follow the sale itself, see "How do I turn a lead into a deal?".
